Not very important for the game.įiles in the root directory of the game cannot be deleted. All files in the folder are very important for the game. The folder generic, grass, txd, effects.fxp, particle.txd, effectsPC.txd, fonts.txd, gta_int.img, gta3.img, hud.txd, player.img files are changed.
Almost all files in the folder are changed. Each file is critical to the game, so don't delete them. Be careful when modifying files in this folder. We'll talk about CLEO scripts later.ĭata folder. Changing this folder and adding CLEO scripts can affect the launch of the game and its crashes. However, I advise against deleting files in the CONFIG folder.ĬLEO folder. Deleting these files will not affect the launch of the game, but there will be no sounds in the game. The files in the CONFIG folder and the GENRL file containing the sounds of explosions, crackling fire, engine engines, brake sounds, and weapon sounds are most often changed.Ĭhanging these files does not affect the game. It can be safely replaced, since all animations are quite normal, and the game will not crash. Most often the ped.ifp file is changed in this folder. Here I can tell you about files and folders that are important and not very important for the game process.įolder anim. Either you are a big fan of mods, or you accidentally ruined some game file.
more explaining plzįirst person mod may look nice ( assuming you get it to work.Have you ever wondered why GTA SA is crashing? If so, then you can be understood. Originally posted by joshawesome342:how do i downgrade and then mods. i have been trying and it just won't take hold :p ) but it also crashes the game on certain missions wether you like it or not not getting it will result in crashing :)Ĭleo dedicated mods have more issues ( although it differs :) )įirst person mod may look nice ( assuming you get it to work. If says you for instance need an extra plugin like "normal map" for a pedestrian mod ( 4 different enbseries mods in one game may do nice things but they most likely will overwrite each other to death breaking it all :) ) ( with modloader you can just delete the folder you created and it's gone ) once you install a mod - RUN THE GAME- if it crashes the mod is bad so REMOVE IT :)
only download zip-archives for manual use ( exe's may seem easy but you never really know what they do until they do it !!!! ) " but with modloader that shouldn't even be an issue )
Generally it's drag "n drop mod files into the folder you created inside modloader and then modloader will do everything for youĮvery mod should also come with a readme file that explains what to do Make a new folder for every mod ( name it something orderly ) Open up the modloader file in your gamedirectory ( you just created this by drag 'n dropping modloader ) Now download the mods you want based on the computer you have ( lower computers won't handle high enbseries for example so pick something lower then :) ) ( ignore asi loader that comes with cleo ) ( get the archived version of cleo ) - extract folders into gamedirectory ( i personally like gamemodding - it has manual zipfiles with inhouse addhosting ( so no shady external popups to go trough ))ĭownlaod cleo 4.3 ( google it - should be something like cleo/li that has it ) Pretty much anythig you need can be found on gamemodding.
